Can Avantar supply products for solar and renewable-energy projects?

Yes. Avantar provides several products applicable to solar and renewable-energy installations.

The current portfolio includes solar panel mounting fasteners, grounding and earthing products, flexible laminated copper busbars and composite electrical components that can support different parts of a renewable-energy system.

Solar panel mounting fasteners include self-drilling screws, T-bolts and complete fastening sets (M6-M12), available in hot-dip galvanized carbon steel or SS304 / SS316 stainless steel. They are designed for installation scenarios including metal roofs, fiber-cement roofs, ground-mounted solar systems, building-integrated photovoltaic applications and solar carports.

Grounding products such as copper-clad steel ground rods, solid copper ground rods, hot-dip galvanized ground rods, ground helical screw anchors and grounding clamps can be used as part of grounding systems for solar installations.

Flexible laminated copper busbars are suitable for high-current connection applications such as battery packs and energy-storage systems, where flexibility helps accommodate vibration and thermal expansion.
For solar and energy-storage projects, product selection should consider installation type, electrical requirements, outdoor exposure, grounding requirements, dimensions and mechanical conditions.

  • Solid copper ground rods - 99.9% pure electrolytic copper for maximum conductivity and full-body corrosion resistance. Diameters: 1/2"-1". Lengths: 1.2 m-3 m. Ideal for heavily corrosive soil and critical facilities.
  • Hot-dip galvanized ground rods - Carbon steel with hot-dip galvanized coating per ASTM A123 (minimum 610 g/m² zinc). Diameters: 1/2"-3/4". Lengths: 1.5 m-3 m. Economical choice for ordinary-corrosion soil.
  • Ground helical screw anchors - High-strength steel with hot-dip galvanized finish per ASTM A153. Shaft diameter 1.5"-3", helix diameter 4"-12", length 3 ft-12 ft. Excavation-free installation with high pull-out resistance.
  • Grounding clamps and earthing connectors - Copper alloy or galvanized steel. Rod size 1/2"-1", conductor size 6 mm²-300 mm². Types: C-type, U-bolt, parallel-groove, saddle clamp.
  • Earthing busbar insulator supports - Epoxy resin or SMC insulator with galvanized steel bracket. Heights: 40 mm / 60 mm / 80 mm. Rated voltage up to 36 kV. Insulation resistance ≥1000 MΩ. Mounting: M8 / M10 / M12 bolts.

Different grounding electrodes and connection components address different installation and material requirements. The appropriate grounding solution should be selected according to the grounding design, installation method, soil and environmental conditions, conductor configuration and applicable project requirements.

  • Armoured Cable Cleats - For XLPE and SWA armoured cables. Cable diameter 20 mm-120 mm, short-circuit withstand up to 100 kA peak. Aluminum alloy or SS316 material. IEC 61914 compliant.
  • Cable Glands - For cable-entry sealing and strain relief. Materials: nickel-plated brass, SS304, nylon PA66. Threads: Metric M12-M63, PG7-PG48, NPT. Cable diameter 3 mm-50 mm. IP66 / IP68 protection. Armoured and unarmoured versions available. Compliant with IEC 62444 and EN 50262.

Cable glands should be selected according to cable construction, cable diameter and required protection level.

Does Avantar provide transformer cooling products?

Yes. Avantar provides three main transformer cooling products, all custom-built to match transformer rated capacity - no standard off-the-shelf units.

Corrugated Sheet Radiators - Key passive cooling component for oil-immersed transformers under ONAN (Oil Natural Air Natural) cooling mode. Manufactured from high-strength steel plate. The corrugated fin structure increases heat dissipation surface area and improves oil-air heat exchange efficiency. Can be supplied as separate radiator panels or fully pre-assembled radiator banks. Surface finish: painted or custom anti-corrosion coating. All dimensions, fin quantity and layout are customized according to transformer capacity. Compliant with IEC 60076 and ISO 9001. Typical applications: oil-immersed distribution transformers, power transformers, substation equipment, renewable-energy step-up transformers.

Axial Cooling Fans for Transformers - Forced-air cooling assemblies designed to boost heat dissipation of transformer radiator banks during peak load operation. Low-noise, continuously-rated industrial fan units. Standard voltage options: 230 V single-phase / 400 V three-phase, with custom voltage available. IP protection rating adjustable to site environment. Bracket-mount or flange-mount installation, with optional protective safety covers. Can be supplied as complete motor-fan assemblies. Compliant with IEC 60076. Typical applications: forced-air cooled transformer systems (ONAF), large-capacity transformer cooling upgrades, industrial power substations, continuous-load electrical equipment.

Transformer Oil-Water Heat Exchanger Coolers - Dedicated water-cooled heat transfer equipment that transfers heat from hot transformer insulating oil to circulating cooling water. Compact structure, well-suited for projects with limited installation space and available circulating water resources. Construction material options: steel, copper or stainless steel. Connection modes: flange or threaded. Cooling capacity, flow rate and connection dimensions fully customizable. Installation: floor-mounted or bracket-mounted. Compliant with IEC 60076. Typical applications: water-cooled oil-immersed transformers (OFWF), industrial rectifier equipment, large power-supply systems, substation cooling rooms, heavy-duty electrical installations.

Transformer cooling components are closely related to transformer capacity, heat-dissipation requirements, ambient conditions and installation configuration. For a transformer cooling quotation, customers should provide transformer capacity, available drawings, radiator dimensions, cooling method and relevant technical specifications wherever possible.

What are preformed armor rods and deadend grips used for?

Preformed armor rods and deadend grips are overhead-line fittings designed to provide conductor protection, mechanical support and tension management.

The products are designed for ACSR, AAC and AAAC conductors and cover conductor cross-sections from 16 mm² to 600 mm² according to the product information. Material options: galvanized steel or aluminum-clad steel wire.

Their helically preformed structure allows installation without special tools and helps distribute mechanical stress around the conductor.

Preformed armor rods protect conductor surfaces from abrasion and vibration-related damage at suspension points, reducing metal-fatigue risk caused by long-time wind vibration.

Deadend grips are used for tension and anchoring applications at overhead-line terminal sections and dead-end points.

For correct selection, the conductor type, conductor cross-sectional area, conductor diameter, application purpose and required product length should be confirmed.

Matching the fitting to the actual conductor specification is important because an incorrect size may affect grip performance and conductor protection. Compliant with IEC 61284 and ISO 9001.
